The Stalactites' Spires Of Night

The Stalactites' Spires Of Night
by Robert Paul Gass (aka Imagines Vinco aka Ultionem Vinco)
To touch the darkness three as days in one
The plague Egyptians reaped before the first
Of birth to die as fodder under sun
Of Azrael in solar plexus thirst.
The daughter Zeus begot on earth for pain
Abyssal Hades under crust of spires
To fear the earthen icy sharpness rain
Of falling spears to pierce with torture fires.
The earth is soaked of water house in hell
To bring the souls to drown in muddy toils
At chains of hooks as slaves to Satan's spell
Together tied with rune of thorn in coils.
Egyptian slaves on crosses under sun's
Horizon burn as Zeus from thunder runs.
