Inanna's Journey With Aqhat
by Robert Paul Gass (aka Imagines Vinco aka Ultionem Vinco)
The inanition goddess brings to hell
To carry souls of damned and torture low
The people using goddess Ur to knell
The fate of tortured brought Ninshabar's tow.
Aqhat the sacrifice to seek with drink
Of Daniel hero proud refusing bow
Relinquished Anat serpent base to sink
And dead to carry burden's pain to sew.
The shades to know divine the light of pain
And sink beneath the tortures unified
To flitter life's recession Satan's bane
Usurped the diadem of crucified.
Aqhat to suffer gross injustice pinned
With eight and ten the nails he never sinned.
