The doll of stone to shape from earth the womb
Of wooden princess drawn to flame beneath
The kiln ceramics heated skin in tomb
And plastics' caryatid in nothing's sheath.
The puppet's hand in sheath to speak the curse
As nature's stage to move with solar booms
And mind of puppeteer with gemmy purse
As sisters weave the threads in royal rooms.
The strings to pull the center's outer ring
And dance with animated hopping stage
With bile in hand of Zeus the stick to sing
In whirl of acts apart in stinging cage.
The nose that grew from socket's hole to play
With automation sprung from Hades' ray.
