Carthaginian Karma

Carthaginian Karma
by Robert Paul Gass
The Punic raids on shores of Europe drained
The coasts of populations lost to chains
And spies of Carthage looked for weakness stained
With nights for ships to strike and seize the cranes.
The slaves bereft of homes were sent as spoils
To inner lands for breeding children trapped
As separate taken pure to fleshly soils
Resented soon as ugly used and snapped.
Sicilian shores with harbors sent attacks
On monsters gruesome dubbed the asses dark
And legions devastated shores with stacks
Of sand on water sources drained for mark.
The Punic needs required a genocide
And south of coast the slaves emoted tide.
